I went into the studio and took some photographs of Rachel. I was trying to take some portrait photographs of my friend Rachel. Some are fully body length photographs, some are close ups of her face and some are take from the side, to catch the detail in the side of her face. To start off with, I decided to used a white background. There are some photographs that are better than others, but are still an okay standard. Underneath are my first photographs, taken on a white background. Rachel was wearing a yellowy, orange top, so I thought it would stand out more with this background. To start with, i got Rachel to just look directly at the camera, with no facial expression. However, she has her phone in her hand, which sort of looks like she may have just looked up to see what i was doing and not be a posed photograph. Then, I got her moving her head, so that her hair would fly about. Finally, I got her to laugh and smile, to show happiness. Feel free to have a look though the slide show below, for move, unexplained photographs. The following day, Rachel and I went back into the studio, but tried darker clothes rather than light, to see what the difference in photograph would be. i still used the white background at the start, as i thought it would create a sort of black and white feel. After that, i decided to then use the black black drop background to make the scene more darker and mysterious. I think, when I decided to do the close ups of her face, it brought out all the features on her face and the colour in her hair. Again, I decided to take the photograph from the side, to get the side view detail. I also got her to smile, as well a straight face.
